What are your Antarctic perceptions?

Hello Antarctica Blog readers!

Some of our colleagues are doing a survey on public perceptions of Antarctica and we'd love our well-informed, Antarctica-loving readers to participate.  Here's a little more information:

Introduction
Since the ratification of the Antarctic Treaty in 1961, the Antarctic area (the Antarctic continent and the surrounding oceans) has been managed collectively by the countries that have a substantial scientific interest in Antarctica. These so-called ‘consultative parties to the Antarctic Treaty’ have grown from 12 to 28 in the past decades, and they continue to meet annually to discuss new management issues. The consultative parties have frequently stated that Antarctica should be managed for the benefit of mankind.

The aim of this research is to get a better understanding of the perspective of the global public in respect of Antarctica and the way Antarctica should be managed now and in the future. We hope to collect the opinions of people from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures and professions across the world.

Instructions:

We appreciate it greatly that you take time out to help us with this study. Fill it out here:  http://soorvey.com/?s=342TQYLIRNQ
-    The survey should not take more than 10 minutes.-    If you have the time and/or interest, please undertake an interview with one of our researchers. We would be most delighted to hear more from you.
